i wrote this poem about growth is the third and final chapter to the storyline painted by the two poems that came before it. This poem’s two predecessors narrated a story about a traumatic experience that I faced in my life. In contrast, this poem talks about how I am motivating myself to walk on a journey of healing and making life as manageable as possible.

Growth and character development is not linear: some days are good days, and other days can more difficult. Navigating the path of healing can also be easier said than done, and it is something that I still struggle with even to this day. However, sometimes a small push forward is all we need to get the ball rolling: this poem was written to be that call to action to help my peers progress forward.
