i wrote this poem about insecurities is my most popular poem, and the first poem that received an on-stage performance in front of an audience. Insecurities were another issue that I struggled with growing up due to falling victim to bullying and social comparison. Body image, my smile, and the mere feeling of not feeling enough were some of the many issues that I internally struggled with.

Writing this poem was very therapeutic for me, as I did not have any other emotional outlets for discussing topics like insecurities. When I posted this poem on Instagram, it started to spread to areas like Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, all areas that are separate from my home country of Canada. This poem sparked a lot of conversations about mental health, and it is one of my proudest pieces of writing that I have created.
